     Even though we are in the dog days of summer, fall is not too far away, which often brings about thoughts of change.  Back to school shopping is on our minds, maybe one more end of summer vacation and a family gathering is planned.  Hopefully something healthy that we can easily do for ourselves and those we love is on the list too.

     Since you are reading this at the anb mall website, then you are already aware that it is the premier place for the very best in all natural skincare products.  A healthy body receives maximum benefits from active, key ingredients in skincare products.  Eating healthy, keeping hydrated, minimizing sun exposure and exercising all contribute to good health.
     I recently read an article by Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen on Oprah's website that is jam packed with all sorts of healthy, natural anti-aging information.  It outlines simple things that can be done to improve our health, helping us to live more full, vibrant and happy lives.  All of this can be accomplished through healthy eating and lifestyle changes, not injections and surgery.  I’m going to highlight some of my favorites and include the link to the complete article at the end. 

     One of the things that I like best about this article is that it comes with a printable checklist that you can download and put up at your home or office.  All it takes is a quick glance to see if you are on track on any given day.  I always take a peek before heading out to the grocery store too.  Download the checklist here.

     I had always heard that red wine had health benefits, but I never really knew exactly what the benefits were, until reading the article. Red wine contains a powerful antioxidant, resveratrol, Dr. Oz says, "It turns on a system in your body that prevents your cells from aging.”  That of course caught my attention, right away.  Read more...

     Green tea is all the rage and has been for a number of years.  White tea is also beneficial; it is from the same plant as the green tea, but it is produced in a different way.  I think it has a beautiful, smooth taste, hot or chilled.  In this article it is recommended to drink four cups each day.  Read more... 
     There is also a recipe for Dr. Oz’s green drink, get it here.  Green drinks are really easy to make if you have a decent juicer.  I never measure; I just open up the veg bin and use what I have.  My typical recipe is a chunk of cucumber, pear or apple, handful of parsley and spinach, stalk of celery, fresh citrus juice and a small chunk of gingerroot.   The ingredients change with the seasons and they may look not so appetizing, but I have never made a bad green drink.  I have used all sorts of fruit and vegetables, all taste delicious and refreshing.
