Is it an awesome moisturizer? Is it an awesome foundation? It’s both! In fact I’m pleased to say that Rejuva Minerals Tinted Moisturizer is exactly what I’ve been looking for for quite awhile. As I get older, I’m just not into the idea of applying a full coat of foundation every single day. This is especially true now that the dog days of summer have arrived. But even if the heat wasn’t an issue, I’m enjoying the carefree experience of not going through all of the steps that it takes to get that ‘perfect’ look.
I experimented with this product to see if wearing more or less worked any differently. When I applied it like a moisturizer, there was less coverage, but there was less sheen. When I applied it more like a foundation it did have more coverage. The sheen was actually nice. For those that prefer a more matte finish I suggest adding light layer of powder on top. I brushed on a bit of Rejuva’s Pressed Powder Foundation and it worked perfectly. In fact, this looked as good as if I had used a foundation!
On the skincare side of Rejuva’s Tinted Moisturizer, my skin felt fabulous… silky smooth is how I’d describe it! To reiterate, if you’re looking for a very sheer coverage, all you have to do is apply this to a clean, preferably exfoliated skin and voila, you have soft coverage and soft smooth skin. If you enjoy a bit more coverage and some sheen, apply it in a more layered way (as you would a foundation). If even more coverage is what you’re after, as well as a matte finish, top off the second (foundation-type) of application with some powder. This way you’ll be ready to dive into a more substantial ‘cover girl’-type look.
I’ve always been very impressed with each of the Rejuva Minerals products that I’ve tried. This is another great one for my cosmetic ‘bag of tricks’. I highly suggest it!
