Pure candles are not that easy to find. Even now, when the green movement is in full swing, you still need to know what you’re doing when searching for authentically ‘clean’ candles. There is a virtual checklist of options to look for. ‘Wax type?’, ‘Wick type?’, ‘Is there a scent added? If so, ‘Is it scented with essential oils or fragrance oils?’, ‘Are there any synthetic colorants?’ These are the main questions that must be answered before it can pass inspection. Then you must try it out to see how it burns as well as how it makes you feel. Once the perfect candles have been found, the magic truly begins. They add such warmth to any space, and the lighting just can’t be beat. There’s something completely timeless about candle light. It takes us to another space in time, a gentler place where there is no stress, just peace and tranquility.
When you find the perfect candles that pass the purity test , you’ve found something very special. I have found this in WoodSprite Organic Body Soy Candles. They really deliver when it comes to perfect candles. They smell fabulous, and there is plenty of scent to fill up the room. I was fortunate to try the ‘Bliss’ version in the ‘Sacred’ collection. Candles, just by their virtue of being candles generally do give me a sense of reverence. ‘Bliss’ really did strike a blissful cord in me. This candle comes in its own clear glass holder, ready to be lit for a heady experience. Very very nice.
I also had the pleasure of enjoying the ‘Winter Warmth’ pillar candle. On the package it says ‘warming – opening – friendship’, oh how I like that! And those are exactly the feelings that it evokes. This one is perfect for the holiday season. I can imagine this burning before your guests arrive. The party would start the second this scent hit your guests noses. They would be pulled in with open loving arms. The scent comes from the pure essential oils of Sweet Orange, Ylang Ylang, Ginger, Clove Bud and Cassia. Don’t hesitate with this one, buy it now for the rest of your winter days and nights. Even when it’s not burning it lends it’s warm aromatics to the room.
Another beautiful candle comes in a gift set called ‘Forest Twigs ‘n Berries’. This delightful combo contains a scented votive, a beautiful mix of potpourri items (stems, berries, Pine needles, tiny Pine cones, etc…), and a small bottle of refresher essential oil blend in the ‘Forrest’ scent. It all comes in a reusable organza bag, making this a wonderful holiday gift for anyone on your list! The scent is homey and nice and will remind you of the fresh outdoors in winter time.
Finally, I was lucky enough to try 3 of the votive candles. One was in Lavender ( a gorgeous Bulgarian Lavender), another in Ginger Glow (another warm delicious blend perfect for winter) and the third was called Pumpkin Chai (yummy and fabulous!). Each and every hand-poured 100% natural candle that I tried brought me great joy. These are the best of the best. Let me make it easy for you so that you don’t have to search so hard… try these candles! You will be impressed, and oh so content.
