As we go through our day we’re faced with many options. Like, “Should I take the elevator, or the stairs?” or “Should I grab a piece of that coffee cake being offered at work, or enjoy the apple that I brought from home?” Another one might be, “Should I hold onto that stress I’m feeling, or go give myself a luxurious spa treatment?” Usually these dilemmas are determined almost instantaneously, based on habits. Self-pacts can be like good friends, waiting in the wings to guide us to what we really need to do to ultimately be happy. But once it becomes a habit, it not only gets easier… life gets better. As our bodies and minds get healthier, the rewards can keep us on the right track.
