Poor confidence is a devastating curse for women. It impacts their relationships, alienates them from their children, and makes work hell. However, if you follow these simple tips, you will create more confidence in your life.
Change Your Speaking Patterns
How often do you put yourself down or use negative words to describe your behaviors or actions? Probably more often than “never.” Every negative word you say about yourself only reinforces your poor confidence. Cut out the negative words in your life, like:
Wimp
Weak
Coward
Silly
Fat
Ditzy
Stupid
Pointless
Cut the Cattiness
Sitting around with friends and complaining about other friends is a sign of poor confidence. It may briefly make you feel better about yourself, but it can come back to bite you in the behind if you don’t cut it out.
Stop sniping at your friends and start complimenting them. Suddenly, you’ll find they’ll compliment you right back.
Treat Yourself Well
Unhealthy behaviors, such as smoking, drinking, overeating, and overworking often go hand-in-hand with poor confidence. Insecure women often turn to these behaviors to mask their insecurity, only to find these behaviors just reinforce negative self conceptions.
So, quit smoking, cut back on your drinking, go on a healthy balanced diet, and take a vacation. A spa might not be a bad destination. Spoil yourself! You deserve it.
Remember: You are Beautiful
It’s easy to lose confidence as your youthful beauty seems to slip away. However, a few wrinkles and gray hairs don’t mean you’re suddenly a hag. Just look at Susan Sarandon or Diane Keaton: they’re still glorious well into their 50’s and 60’s.
Their exterior beauty come from inner confidence and you too can improve your confidence and your beauty by performing the following activities:
Dressing to compliment your body type.
Getting your hair done in the newest fashion.
Visiting a nail salon.
Getting a manicure with friends.
Trying out new makeup styles.
Does it seem shallow to try to enhance your beauty? It shouldn’t! Focusing on your physical beauty is only shallow if it’s all you value. Instead, a positive, shining exterior can fully illuminate your glorious and confident interior!
