Hi Kaye,
You need not think that your skin at 40 needs something more, different, or better. This belief is perpetuated by product advertising and the media.
Responsible skin health is more about your purchasing and personal habits than about the products, actually. A good regimen with simple products is best for your skin and the environment. Choose products that are eco-friendly in their ingredients and packaging. Your regimen is the same as everyones: 1. Cleanse, 2. Tone/Humidify, 3. Nourish/Moisturize. Buy minimal packaging or better yet, make these 3 products yourself! Try some of the recipes in the back of my book, ‘Aromatherapy and You’ (Please see the link below to the ANB review).
Truly, my best advice about skin health is to become familiar with the plants that live around you. Learn how to eat them and use them on your skin. It’s easy and fun.
