I want to share a really deliciously-scented holiday aroma mist with you.
I make my own aromatherapy mists to keep in the bathroom. This is one way to help eliminate some household chemicals in your home. When you create an aromatherapy mist, you get to use it and mist it with confidence, knowing that what you and your family are inhaling is not full of chemicals, and healthier for your body.
I use different blends year round according to the season. And during this holiday season, I create one that I now call the Winter Wonderland Aroma Mist. It smells like a minty peppermint candy cane with a hint of vanilla…..so yummy!
Here’s the recipe:
1 ml Peppermint essential oil
1 ml Spearmint essential oil
1 ml Vanilla absolute (or 2 ml 5% Vanilla, which is vanilla mixed with usually, jojoba which is cheaper in price)
4 oz distilled, spring or filtered water
Here’s how to create it:
To a 4 ounce bottle, add the essential oils and vanilla and gently swirl them in the bottle to blend them. Then fill the rest of the bottle with the water. Cap the bottle with a spray top, gently shake it and mist into the air. Be sure to avoid wooden furniture and spray away from you, into the air. Then, inhale, enjoy, exhale….ahhhh!
I keep it in the bathroom to use as an air freshener. I always get comments on this aroma mist, as it is so refreshing and energizing.
This mist brings the scent of the holidays into your home for you, your family, and your guests to enjoy.
Wishing you a magical holiday season!
inhale ~ enjoy ~ exhale,
